The Vancouver Chinatown Lioness Club was sponsored by Vancouver Chinatown Lions Club and was organized on January 28, 1984 with 25 women from different  professions and backgrounds.  The charter members are Past President Betty Chin and Past President Kareen Wong.  In the span of over 20 years, the Club has grown to become one of the unique service clubs in our community.  The membership is currently 23 with women from all walks of life.  This continuity is attributed to the strong bonding and leadership of the past presidents and the commitment of each Lioness member.  Adopting the spirit of "LIONESSISM" and in keeping the Lions philosophy of WE SERVE" in fun and fellowship, members have worked diligently on numerous fundraising projects and participated in countless community projects.  The club members also participate and support many community fundraisers and services.  Both the Club and their members take a great deal of pride in their accomplishments, and look forward to facing new challenges and reaching new milestones in the years to come.
