I want to thank you and your amazing group of volunteers for volunteering at the 15^th Annual Parade of Trees event last Thursday.  Your group’s help was essential to setting up the trees and the silent auction.  Because of your support I am very happy to announce that we raised over $50,000 from the Parade of Trees to date including sponsorships, trip lottery sales and proceeds from the gala night.  And there is more to come with events such as the: Scavenger Hunt, Trip Lottery sales, Skate-a-thon, photos with Santa and tree voting continuing from now until December 24^th we will have a final figure available in January.  I wanted to extend the invitation to you to participate in any of these great events.

On the night of the event we raised over $8,000 (69% of the items’ value was realized) in the silent auction, $5,525 (a record) in the live auction and sold $2,250 (a record) worth of trip lottery tickets.

Thank you again for all of your support of SOS Children’s  Village  BC and our Annual Parade of Trees event.  I am very much looking forward to the 16^th Annual Parade of Trees event to be launched in November 2009.
