Memorial Garden visited by Lioness Moon .. "The Memorial Garden is a
sacred place for the recognition of honorable Lions members, past or
present. The Coral Fire Ash Tree we were planting together is a
memorial of PDG Dick Watson who served the Lions for extensive period of
time. Three generations of Dick Watson's family members were present
to hold this ceremony. Elsewhere in the garden, many were trees, waterfall and chair, which were made to honor past Lions who dedicated their unselfish services to the club and the world. During the meeting, we shared memories about the Lions being honored and spoke of future plans for the Memorial Garden. As a Lioness from Vancouver, my visit at the MD19 was a meaningful ceremony that I can be proud of. I know there is a long way to go for present Lions to work hard to perform our enthusiastic and compassionate services. There is no border for us to expand our services around the world. My goal is to be my name in the Memorial Garden someday in the future. Regards, |
