"The only lioness club in District 19A"

VOLUNTEERING & NEWS UPDATE

Dear Lions & Lioness,

On behalf of the BC Lions Society for Children with Disabilities and the families we serve.  THANK YOU for your support on Saturday at your local Safeway stores.  Your true Lionism spirit shone brightly; from packing groceries, flipping burgers to handing out cake – everyone stepped up to help raise funds for Easter Seals Camps in BC and for children with disabilities.  The campaign runs for another 2 weeks so we don’t have any final $ raised yet but we have heard back that on Saturday alone stores raised anywhere from $300 to $3,000.  We could not have done it without your dedication to our society and your community. Please pass on our thank you to all your members who came out to help.

Sincerely,
Nirm Blatchford & Stephen Miller

NATIONAL VOLUNTEER WEEK
APRIL 18 - 24
In this troubled world, it's refreshing to find
someone who still has the time to be kind. Someone who still has the faith to believe that
the more you give, the more you receive.
Someone who's ready by thought, word, or deed
to reach out a hand, in the hour of need.
